SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to play Microsoft Midtown Madness with other players over an Internet connection, the game may unexpectedly minimize and a dialog box containing the following message may appear in the background:
Please click on the Midtown Madness icon in the taskbar once you have verified connection to the Internet.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if Midtown Madness is unable to verify that you are connected to the Internet.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, verify that you are connected to the Internet and then click OK.

NOTE: If you do not see the message specified in the "Symptoms" section of this article, press ALT+TAB until you see the message, verify that you are connected to the Internet, and then click OK.
