Outlook Express Overwrites Previously Saved Favorites (228731)

SYMPTOMS

When you add a favorite link to your Favorites folder using Outlook Express, you may overwrite a previously saved favorite link.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you previously saved a favorite link using Outlook Express.

NOTE: When you save a link using Outlook Express, the link is saved using the name, Favorites from Outlook Express.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
  1. In Outlook Express, click the link to open the Web page in Internet Explorer.
  2. In Internet Explorer, click Add To Favorites on the Favorites menu.
  3. Verify the name of the link, or type the name you want for the link, and then click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
