CAUSE

The behavior occurs when you do the following:
  • Install Office 97 to run from CD-ROM.

    -and-

  • Remove Office 97.

    -and-

  • Install Office 97 on your hard disk without installing all of the Office 97 components.

    -and-

  • Upgrade to Office 2000.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, continue the installation of Office 2000. Only the programs that are installed on your computer will be removed.
