The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 SP2

This article was previously published under Q228534

SYMPTOMS

When you send a message with double-byte character set (DBCS) attachment name to a Lotus cc:Mail post office (PO) using the Microsoft Exchange Connector for Lotus cc:Mail (CCMC), the DBCS attachment name disappears. If you use single-byte character set (SBCS) attachment name instead of DBCS, the attachment name is kept correctly.

CAUSE

Exchange Server 5.5 Service Pack 1 CCMC kept DBCS attachment names correctly. However Exchange Server 5.5 Service Pack 2 CCMC breaks the behavior.
