106-Key Keyboard Listed as 101-Key in Device Manager (228364)

A PS/2-style 106/109-key Japanese keyboard may appear in Device Manager as a "PC/AT Enhanced PS/2 Keyboard (101/102-Key)" keyboard.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because Windows 2000 detects the keyboard incorrectly. However, the keyboard should still function correctly.
MORE INFORMATION
This issue occurs in Advanced Power Management (APM) mode only. It does not occur in Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) mode.
