When you try to use the on-line registration functionality of some third-party programs, you may see more connection devices listed than you currently have installed in your Windows 2000-based computer. For example, you may see the following device list:
- RAS VPN Line
- RAS VPN Line
- L2TP1T
- IPCONF LINE
- H323 Line
- your currently installed modem
CAUSE
This behavior may occur if your third-party software incorrectly displays devices that are not currently installed in your computer.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, contact the third-party software manufacturer to inquire about the availability of a fix for this issue.
To work around this issue, choose the appropriate connection device, and then continue with the on-line registration process.
