Power Icon Does Not Change When Computer Is on Battery Power (228153)

After you install Windows 2000 on your Micron TransPort series computer, and then restart the computer on battery power, the On AC Power icon may be displayed on the taskbar. Also, the "On Battery" status indicator on your computer is lit, indicating your computer is using battery power.
CAUSE
This issue can occur if the Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) does not properly report the current power supply status to Windows 2000.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, contact your computer manufacturer to inquire about the availability of a fix for this issue.
