SYMPTOMS

When you use Search Assistant, shortcut keys do not work in the Search bar if the Address box is currently selected (or active). When this is the case, shortcut keys do not function when you are searching for computers, files, or folders.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

When the Address box is selected, you cannot use the shortcut keys (for example, ALT+L or ALT+C) to use any of the search controls.
