When you specify a customized message in a Profile Quota policy, the custom message is shown in the registry, but may not be shown in the Profile Storage message box and window. Instead the default message may be displayed:
You have exceeded your profile storage space. Before you can log off, you need to move some items from your profile to the network or local storage.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs when the user profile size is above the limit (is more than 500 characters in length).
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, limit the customized message to less than 500 characters.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
