Bulgarian (Latin) Keyboard Layout Displays English Letters (227544)

When you use the Bulgarian (Latin) keyboard layout to type characters on your Windows 2000-based computer, the characters are displayed in English letters instead of the expected Cyrillic letters.
CAUSE
This issue occurs because the Bulgarian (Latin) keyboard layout is an alias of the US English language, and because of this, does not display Cyrillic letters.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, use the Bulgarian keyboard layout instead of the Bulgarian (Latin) keyboard layout:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Keyboard, click the Input Locales tab, and then click Add.
- In the Input Locale box, click Bulgarian.
- In the Keyboard Layout/IME box, click Bulgarian.
- Click OK, and then click OK.
