SYMPTOMS

When you configure two Dial-up Networking (DUN) connections, using different Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) adapters installed on the same computer, and then attempt to connect to the server, the first connection is successful, but when you click Connect in the second DUN connectoid, the following error message may appear:
RAS Error 633: The port is in use or not configured for Remote Access Dial-Out.
When you check the Remote Access Service (RAS) Monitor on the server, all channels are connected with the same IP address, and only one ISDN adapter is displayed as active.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because multilink bundles all subsequent DUN connections from one computer into one connection to a server when the same username is used.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
