Shortcut Icons Not Created for Wing Commander: Prophecy (227269)

SYMPTOMS

When you install the Wing Commander: Prophecy version 1.0 program made by Origin Software, a shortcut is not created in the Start menu.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because Wing Commander: Prophecy tries to install the icons to the Start menu in the %Windir%\Start Menu folder, but this is not where the Start Menu folder is located in Windows 2000.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, manually create a shortcut on your computer or start the game from the CD-ROM. For information about how to create a shortcut, click Start, click Help, click the Index tab, type shortcuts, and then double-click adding to Start menu.
