Cannot Type Password in Screen Saver Password Box (227090)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to type your screen saver password in the "Type your screen saver password" box, no characters may appear in the box and the cursor may be missing.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you use Task Scheduler to set up a tool, utility, or program to run at a specific time, and it starts after the screen saver starts.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, click in the Type your screen saver password box, and then type your screen saver password, or press ESC, and then type your screen saver password.
