You cannot protect presentations with a password in PowerPoint 2000 (226661)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft PowerPoint 2000
This article was previously published under Q226661 SUMMARY For a Microsoft PowerPoint 2001 for Macintosh,
PowerPoint 98 Macintosh Edition version of this article, see

this article, see

earlier version of this article, see

PowerPoint 2000 does not allow you to password protect your
presentations. You can password protect VBA projects that are a part of your
presentation, but not the presentation itself. This is done to
maintain file compatibility with PowerPoint 97 and PowerPoint 98, which also
does not support password protection.
