Microsoft PowerPoint allows you to schedule multiple online presentation broadcasts. An email client provides some of this functionality; however, some features exclusive to Microsoft Outlook will not be available when you use a third-party email client with PowerPoint. If you use Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook together, you will be able to schedule multiple broadcasts within a single presentation, and you will have added functionality provided by Microsoft Outlook.
MORE INFORMATIONUsing a Third Party Email Client

Using Microsoft Outlook as an Email Client
When you click Schedule Broadcast, Microsoft Outlook automatically opens with information describing the event and where audience members can view the online broadcast. You can send this email to your audience members by placing each audience members' email address in the To box. Date and Time information will not be saved within the PowerPoint presentation.
You will be able to specify a Start time and an End time, and will be able to send an automated Reminder before the event. You will also be able to specify how this time will appear in the Outlook Calendar. With the Attendee Availability tab, you will be able to check the schedules of audience members who are also using Outlook.
With Microsoft Outlook, you will also be able to schedule multiple presentation broadcasts and review or change them. To view the online broadcast information, click Slideshow, point to Online Broadcast, then click Setup and Schedule. If you click Change Settings or Reschedule Broadcast, you will be able to adjust, review, or change multiple existing broadcasts. (NOTE: You will be able to see and resend broadcast invitations using third-party email clients; however, date and time information will not be displayed in this window unless Microsoft Outlook is being used.)
