Windows 2000 Does Not Load the Tgiulnt.sys Video Driver (226467)

SYMPTOMS

When you install Windows 2000 and you are running the Tgiulnt.sys video driver, the driver is not detected by Device Manager. If you attempt to manually load the driver, Device Manager states that it is installed, but Windows 2000 continues to run in VGA mode.

When you run the Add/Remove Hardware Wizard troubleshooter, it states:
This device is not working properly because Windows 2000 cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
