OLEXP: MSIMN Is Still Running After You Quit Outlook Express (226313)

SYMPTOMS

If you quit Outlook Express, and then press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to view the Close Program list, an instance of MSIMN (Outlook Express) may still be visible on the list of running programs. Also, if you start and then quit Outlook Express multiple times, the Close Program list may list multiple instances of MSIMN. For example, if you start and then quit Outlook Express 10 times, the Close Program list may list 10 instances of MSIMN.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you are running the McAfee VirusScan program and it is configured to scan e-mail and Web pages.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact McAfee to inquire about the availability of a fix for this issue.

To work around this issue, disable the scanning of e-mail and Web pages in the McAfee VirusScan program. For information about how to do so, view the documentation included with the program.
