Microsoft G.723.1 Codec Does Not Work with Sound Recorder Tool (226085)

SYMPTOMS

When you select the Microsoft G.723.1 codec for recording in Sound Recorder, all buttons are unavailable out except for the Record button. When you click Record, nothing happens.

CAUSE

The Microsoft G.723.1 codec is not intended for use outside of Microsoft NetMeeting.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
