SBS 4.0 Manage User Permissions Wizard Does Not Remove Print Permissions to a Fax Printer (226022)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Manage User Permissions wizard in Small Business Server 4.0 to remove the permission to print to the fax printer for a particular user, the user may still be able to print to the fax printer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, run the wizard a second time. The fax printer still appears in the list of printers that the user has permission to use, but the permissions have been removed.

NOTE: If you remove permissions for other users the second time you run the wizard, those permissions are properly removed.

STATUS

This problem was corrected in BackOffice Small Business Server 4.5.
