SYMPTOMS

When you try to open a fax cover page file (.cov) that contains a space in the file name in Microsoft Windows NT Explorer, the following error message is displayed:
The Cover Page Editor cannot locate the file "6.COV". Please try to open another cover page file.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because Windows NT Explorer cannot open a .cov file that contains a space in the file name.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, use the Fax Cover Page editor to open cover pages that contain spaces in the file name.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft BackOffice Small Business Server 4.0, 4.0a, and 4.5.
