AutoCAD 14.0 Does Not Update File Date or Time When File Is Modified (225190)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows 98
- Microsoft Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2.1
- Microsoft Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2.5
This article was previously published under Q225190 SYMPTOMS
When you use Windows Explorer to view files modified with AutoCAD 14.0, you may see that:
- The creation date is the most recent date the file was worked on.
- The modify date is the original date the file was created.
This is the opposite of what the dates should reflect. The creation date should be the original date and the modify date should be the most recent date the file was worked on (modified).
CAUSE
The variable for saving the date and time with the file does not properly save the date and time stamp information.
RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior, you can set the ISAVEPERCENT system variable to 0 in AutoCAD 14.0. This forces AutoCAD to write the entire contents of the file during each save. This can slow the save process, but the file date is listed correctly.
