WD98: Unable to Click or Place Cursor Within Document (225107)

After you install the Microsoft Office 98 update for Mac OS 8.5, you may be unable to click or place the cursor within the document. In addition, when you edit text, Word persistently changes the size of the text to Times 12-point font.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the third-party desktop utility FinderKeeper(tm) version 1.0, from Elsware Ltd, has been installed on your computer.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, remove the FinderKeeper extension. To do so, follow these steps:
- Open the Extensions folder located in your System folder.
- Locate the FinderKeeper extension.
- Drag the FinderKeeper extension to another location on your hard disk.
- Restart your computer.
