BUG #: 54451 (SQLBUG_70)
SYMPTOMS
Installation of Internet Explorer version 5.0 on a SQL Server 7.0 Windows 95 or Windows 98 computer may cause wizards and property sheets (tabbed dialog boxes) that display an edit control to generate exception errors. Generally, this problem is reported on the Windows 95 or 98 computer as a general protection fault. This applies to any computer running Windows 95 or Windows 98 that attempts to use the SQL Server client utilities.
CAUSE
Changes made to the Comctl32.dll file, as installed by Internet Explorer 5.0, result in an overrun of the edit control buffer.
