Microsoft Site Server Commerce 3.0: Error '8004e007' (224782)

SYMPTOMS

When you click the Purchase button in the Final Purchase Approval stage, you receive an error in the browser similar to the following:
error '8004e007'

CAUSE

The MSDTC service is not started.

RESOLUTION

Start the MSDTC service. To do so, follow these steps:
  1. From a command prompt, type net start msdtc, and press the ENTER key.
  2. Close the command prompt.
It is recommended that you set the MSDTC service to start automatically in Control Panel, Services.

MORE INFORMATION

The Final Purchase Approval stage is transacted. Transactions require the MSDTC service to be started.
