WD2000: Cannot Create Multiple Values in a Drop-Down Box Form Control (224753)

When you use the Web Tools toolbar (on the View menu, under Toolbars) to create a drop-down box form control, and you attempt to add multiple display values to the drop-down box, the properties that are required to add multiple values are not displayed.
CAUSE
This issue occurs because multiple display values in a drop-down box need to be set programmatically.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, follow these steps:
- Double-click the drop-down box in your document.
- In the Properties dialog box, click to select DisplayValues, and then press F1.
- In the Microsoft Word Help dialog box, click Show, and then click Contents.
- Double-click Microsoft Forms Design Reference.
- Double-click List Boxes, Text Boxes, and Combo Boxes.
- Double-click Add items to a list using the List or Column property.
- Follow the Help instructions to add list items to your drop-down box.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Word 2000.
