WD2000: "The page cannot be displayed" Activating Help (224746)

SYMPTOMS

When you have Microsoft Visual Basic Help displayed, and
  • In the Visual Basic Editor, you switch to Word (on the View menu, click Microsoft Word).
    -and-

  • In Word, on the Help menu, you click Microsoft Word Help.
The Help window displays an error page with the following error message:
The page cannot be displayed.

The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use the following steps:
  1. In the Microsoft Word Help window, on the Help toolbar, click the Options button.
  2. Click Home.
  3. Click to select the Contents tab.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
