SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Word 2000, when you collect and paste multiple table rows to a new document, the widths between the pasted rows are not identical as expected.

WORKAROUND

To successfully copy and paste a table, follow these steps:
  1. In Microsoft Word 2000, select the table that you want to copy.
  2. On the Table menu, point to Select, and then click Table.
  3. On the Edit menu, click Copy.
  4. On the File menu, click New.
  5. In the New dialog box, click Blank Document, and then click OK.
  6. In the new document, on the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Clipboard.
  7. Click the Paste All button on the Clipboard toolbar.
