WD2000: X-Mouse Conflicts with Customizing Toolbars and Menus (224696)

When you attempt to customize your settings in Microsoft Word 2000 (by clicking Customize on the Tools menu), and the X-Mouse activation option in the TweakUI utility is selected (in Microsoft Windows 98), the menu may behave erratically and disappear, making it difficult to customize settings.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, disable the Activation follows mouse (X-Mouse) option in the TweakUI utility in Windows 98.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
