WD2000: Selection Runs Together After Pasting as Unformatted Text (224624)

In Microsoft Word 2000, when you copy a selection from a table cell that looks similar to the following:
apple <enter>
banana <enter>
orange <enter>
(where <enter> indicates a carriage return), and then you paste the selection as unformatted text, it loses the carriage returns and looks like this:
NOTE: This functionality is different from Microsoft Word 97 for Windows.
CAUSE
This functionality was implemented to improve how the information is pasted into a Microsoft Excel file.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, paste the selection by doing one of the following:
- Click Paste on the Edit menu.
-or- - Click Paste Special on the Edit menu and select Formatted Text.
