WD2000: Bulleted and Numbered Lists Duplicated When You Paste HTML Text in Word (224621)

SYMPTOMS

When you paste text from an HTML document into a Microsoft Word 2000 document, if the text contains a bulleted or numbered list, the bullets or numbers may be duplicated.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, follow these steps:

Select the bulleted or numbered list.
On the Formatting toolbar, click the Numbering or Bullets button to remove the numbering or bullets.

Notice that the list is still numbered or bulleted, but the duplicate numbering or bullets have been removed.
On the Formatting toolbar, click the Numbering or Bullets button to reapply numbering or bullets correctly.
