Bookshelf 99 Err Msg: Bshelf99 Caused an Invalid Page Fault in Module Bshelf99.exe (224563)

SYMPTOMS

When you start Microsoft Bookshelf 99 for the first time, you may be prompted to accept the End User License Agreement (EULA). If you click Decline or the Close (X) button, you may receive the following error message:

Bshelf99 caused an invalid page fault in module Bshelf99.exe

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if an OEM version of Bookshelf 99 is installed in your computer.

RESOLUTION

To prevent this issue from occurring, do not click Decline or the Close (X) button in the EULA dialog box when you start Bookshelf 99 for the first time.

If you do not accept the terms of the EULA, remove Bookshelf 99. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  3. On the Install/Uninstall tab, click Bookshelf 99, and then click Add/Remove.
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen to remove Bookshelf 99.
  5. Click OK, and then close Control Panel.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Bookshelf 99.

MORE INFORMATION

This problem does not occur in Microsoft Bookshelf 2000.
