KERNEL32.DLL CAUSE This behavior can occur if the Microsoft Java Virtual
Machine (VM) is damaged. RESOLUTION To resolve this issue:
- Restart your computer in MS-DOS mode (click Start, click Shut Down, and then click Restart in MS-DOS
mode).
- Press ENTER after typing each of the following commands:
cd windows\system ren msjava.dll msjava.old exit - Re-run Internet Explorer 5 Setup.
If the problem persists, use the following steps:
- Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.
- Double-click the Windows folder, and then double-click the Downloaded Program Files folder.
- Remove the DirectAnimation Java Classes file. To do so,
click the file, and then click Remove Program File on the File menu.
- Repeat step 3 to remove the following files in the
Downloaded Program Files folder, and then restart your computer:
- Internet Explorer Classes for Java
- Microsoft XML Parser For Java
- Win32 Classes
- Download and install the latest version of the Java VM from
the following Microsoft Web site:
