Application Name Is Blank When Created in Web Administration Forms (HTMLA) (224373)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Internet Information Services 5.0
This article was previously published under Q224373 SYMPTOMS
When you use the Web Administration Forms (HTMLA Admin) that come with
Internet Information Services 5.0, you may encounter a small inconsistency
between the way Internet Services Manager and these forms deal with the
application name of a site. When you create a Web application using the
Internet Service Manager, the name "Default Application" is used if you do
not specify a name. When you use the HTMLA Web Administration Forms, the
application name is left blank when no name is specified.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Internet Information Servicesversion 5.0.
