Large messages sent from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 98 recipients do not show voting buttons (224358)

SYMPTOMS

If you send a large message with voting buttons from Microsoft Outlook 2000 to a Microsoft Outlook 98 recipient, the voting buttons may not display when the message is opened.

RESOLUTION

Cut and paste the message body in to a Word document or text file and send that file as an attachment to the rich-text message.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

Outlook 98 users will not see voting buttons you have added to a large (64 KB or more) mail message. This problem does not occur with users of Outlook 97 or Outlook 2000.
