In FrontPage Explorer, when you delete a folder in the rootweb or subweb successfully, the event viewer logs four errors in the application log for every folder deleted. The errors you will see are as follows: Note: The actual path in the error message will be slightly different, depending on the name of the folder you deleted.

Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions: Error deleting app root /subwebname/foldername Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions: Error deleting app root /foldername
CAUSE
This error occurs when you delete a folder that has been designated as an application in the MMC for IIS 4.0.
RESOLUTION
The errors do not indicate that there is a problem with the functionality of FrontPage 98 Server Extensions or IIS. These errors are innocuous and will be fixed in the next version of the FrontPage Server Extensions.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
