OL2000: Changing Resource Doesn't Update Location Field. (223953)

SYMPTOMS

When you edit a previously accepted meeting request to change the location or resource, the old resource is still listed in the location field after you send the update.

RESOLUTION

When you edit the meeting request, click AutoPick to force the selection of the next available resource.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

To change the resource, on the Attendee Availability tab, click AutoPick, and Show attendee availability. This forces a location update in the meeting request, and will be reflected in the other attendees' schedules after you send the update. To change the resource:
  1. Open the meeting request and click the Attendee Availability tab.
  2. Click Show attendee availability.
  3. Right-click the declined resource and click to select Send meeting request to this attendee.
  4. Right-click the original resource and click to select Don't send meeting request to this attendee.
  5. Click Send Update.
