SBCM: Sending HTML Message to Contact Appears to Hang Outlook (223857)

SYMPTOMS

If you have Activity Tracking turned on, and attempt to send an HTML message to a Small Business Customer Manager (SBCM) Contact, using Word as your e-mail editor, the cursor changes to an hourglass and Outlook stops responding.

CAUSE

The SBCM Activity Tracker login dialog box is waiting for input and is hidden behind the Word as e-mail editor message window.

WORKAROUND

If you are using Microsoft Windows 95/98, you can press the ALT+TAB keys and switch to the login prompt to complete the operation.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
