OL2000: Long URL Fails to Open Correct Page (223512)

When you receive a message containing a URL that spans two or more lines of text and you click the hyperlink, the correct page does not open in your browser.
CAUSE
Either of the following can cause the hyperlink to fail:
- There is a carriage return (line break) in the text of the URL.
- The URL contains more than 259 characters. Outlook correctly reads hyperlinks of 259 characters or less.
WORKAROUND
Copy and paste the segments of the URL from the open message into your browser address bar.
