This article was previously published under Q223348 SYMPTOMS
When you copy an Excel 97 cell range or chart and paste it into a PowerPoint 97 presentation, the picture is clipped on the bottom or right.
CAUSE
You selected a large cell range or chart (greater than approximately 33 centimeters by 33 centimeters) and then pasted the Clipboard content into PowerPoint, using one of the following methods:
- Paste Special as Picture (Enhanced Metafile)
-or-
- Paste Special as Microsoft Excel Worksheet Object with Paste Link selected
If you look at the enhanced metafile (EMF) rendering on the Clipboard using Clipboard Viewer, the EMF is not clipped. Both of the previous Paste Special options use the EMF rendering of the copied cells or chart.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
