MSPS: Voice Command from the Handset Is Not Recognized (223255)

SYMPTOMS

If you use the handset to issue a voice command to the Microsoft Cordless Phone System, the voice command may not be recognized by the system or the system may not respond properly to the voice command.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if Microsoft Speech Recognition 4.0 is installed on your computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, download and install the Phnsrupd.exe file from the Microsoft Download Center.

Phnsrupd.exe installs a newer version of the Msphonio.dll file on your computer. Phnsrupd.exe also places copies of the existing Msphonio.dll file and the newer version of the Msphonio.dll file on your computer.

NOTE: The existing Msphonio.dll file is renamed to Msphonio.1105 and a backup copy of the newer version of the Msphonio.dll file is named Msphonio.1106.
