SYMPTOMS

Microsoft Access is unable to load the database properties.
CAUSE
You tried to access the database properties either from a disconnected Access project or from a connectionless Access project.
RESOLUTION
To view the database properties, connect to a data source.
For a Disconnected Access Project- On the File menu, click Connection.
- Check the information on the Connection tab for accuracy.
- When you have ensured that the server is available, test the connection by clicking the Test Connection button. If the connection doesn't work, ensure that the settings are correct. For example, spelling errors and case sensitivity can cause connections not to work.
For a Connectionless Access Project- On the File menu, click Connection.
- On the Connection tab in the Data Link Properties dialog box, type a server name and the logon information, and then select the database on the server.
- For additional information, click Help in the Data Link Properties dialog box.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
