This article was previously published under Q223051 SYMPTOMS
When you set up a custom page size using the Hewlett-Packard ColorSmart 9.3.2, 9.4, or 9.4.2 driver, the page appears to be set up properly in Word print preview, but everything is moved over as if it was printing on a letter-size page. If you check Preview on the print screen, the preview shows the text adjusted on a letter-size page. When it prints, there is a wide margin on the left, and the text is cut off on the right.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, do the following: - Click File. Click Page Setup.
- Under Media Size, click the drop-down list. Click Add Custom.
- Type a name for the Custom Size.
- Type the correct height and width.
- Click OK.
- Click Print.
- Click Preview.
The page size now appears to be correct in Preview. The page also prints correctly.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
