Uninstalling GSNW or CSNW Uninstalls NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Compatible Transport Protocol (222562)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Datacenter Server
This article was previously published under Q222562 SUMMARY
In certain situations, when you uninstall Gateway Services for NetWare (GSNW) or Client Services for NetWare (CSNW), NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Compatible Transport Protocol is also uninstalled. This occurs only if NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Compatible Transport Protocol was initially installed on the Windows 2000-based computer as a result of installing either GSNW or CSNW.
MORE INFORMATION
Installing either GSNW or CSNW on a Windows 2000-based computer automatically installs NWLink if that component is not already present. If NWLink is already installed on a Windows 2000-based computer before installing either GSNW or CSNW, the subsequent removal of GSNW or CSNW does not remove NWLink.
