OL2000: (CW) Required Meeting Attendee is Logged as Optional (222386)

SYMPTOMS

If you invite a Distribution List (DL) to a meeting as Required Attendees, an individual respondent may be logged as an Optional Attendee after accepting the meeting request.

RESOLUTION

Manually change the attendee's status from Optional to Required.

Expand the DL before sending the meeting request.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

To Change an Attendee's Status

  1. In the Calendar folder, open the meeting entry.
  2. On the Attendee Availability tab, click to select the status of the Optional attendee from the Attendance column.
  3. Click to select Required, from the list.
