SYMPTOMS

If you double-click to open an attached file in a Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) format message, the file does not open.

RESOLUTION

To open an attached file in an HTML-format message, double-click the message to open it, and on the Edit menu, click Edit Message.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
