OL2000: (IMO) Fax Cover Page Settings Are Not Retained During Upgrade (222280)

NOTE: These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Internet Mail Only option. To determine your installation type, click About Microsoft Outlook on the Help menu. If you have the Internet Mail Only option installed, you see "Internet Mail Only".

SYMPTOMS

When you upgrade to Outlook 2000 Internet Mail Only (IMO) from Outlook 98 IMO, and you have Symantec Fax Starter Edition (SFSE) installed, you notice that even though all the basic fax information migrates, your choice for the cover page style reverts to the default, "Classic Bold."

WORKAROUND

You can change the default cover page style using the following steps:

On the Tools menu, click Options.
On the Fax tab, click Template..
Click to select the appropriate template, click Apply, OK, and OK, to apply the new setting and close the windows.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
