OL2000: Phone Number Type Codes Not Exported to Timex Data Link Watch (222251)

SYMPTOMS

If you use the Timex Data Link Watch Wizard to export data to the Timex Data Link watch and you click Finish on the first screen instead of clicking Next, the telephone numbers on the Data Link watch do not include the telephone number type codes.

RESOLUTION

If you progress through the wizard by clicking Next until you reach the end of the wizard, the type codes show up as expected on the Timex Data Link watch.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

The telephone number codes are used to differentiate among types of telephone numbers. The following telephone type codes are typically available with the Timex Data Link watch:

H - Home
W - Business
P - Pager
C - Mobile or car
F - Fax (used with HF or WF for Home Fax or Business Fax)<BR/>
2 - Second telephone line (used with H2 or W2 for second home or business
    number.
