SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to start one of the programs listed at the beginning of this article, you may receive the following error message:
Something is missing.

To locate the missing piece, close all open programs, restart your computer, and then run Setup again.
When you click More Info, you receive the following error message:
Sorry, the Paper Projects area of Microsoft Home Publishing is unavailable due to missing components. To locate the missing pieces, close Microsoft Home Publishing and run Microsoft Home Publishing Setup again.

Reinstalling Home Publishing 99 or Greetings 99 does not resolve this issue.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if a component of Microsoft Clip Gallery 5 is missing or damaged.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use the Recover steps to fix the corrupted catalog. To do this follow the steps below:
  1. Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Microsoft Clip Gallery.
  2. Right-click a catgory (any one will do).
  3. Click Recover.
  4. Click Compact.
  5. Quit Clip Gallery.
