Plus! 98 Error Message: Spider Caused an Invalid Page Fault in Spider.exe (221820)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to open your last saved Spider Solitaire game, you may receive the following error message:

Spider caused an invalid page fault in module Spider.exe.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the Spider.sav file is damaged.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, delete the Spider.sav file. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files Or Folders.
  2. In the Named box, type spider.sav.
  3. In the Look In box, click My Computer, verify that the Include Subfolders check box is selected, and then click Find Now.
  4. In the list of found files, right-click the Spider.sav file, and then click Delete.
  5. Close the Find: Files Named Spider.sav window.
