XFOR: GroupWise Connector Installation Problems (221527)

SYMPTOMS

When you install the Microsoft Exchange Connector for Novell GroupWise, you may receive a message in Microsoft Windows NT that states that either Ntsperf.dll (if the Microsoft Exchange Connector for Lotus Notes is installed), Ovvperf.dll (if the Microsoft Exchange Connector for IBM OfficeVision/VM [PROFS] is installed), or Snaperf.dll (if the Microsoft Exchange Connector for SNADS is installed) cannot be overwritten, and that the file may be read-only.

CAUSE

The Ntsperf.dll, Ovvperf.dll, and Snaperf.dll files are located in the Exchsrvr\Connect\Exchconn folder, and can be renamed to Ntsperf.old, Ovvperf.old, and Snaperf.old, respectively, so that the installation can continue.

NOTE: The Microsoft Exchange Connector for IBM OfficeVision/VM (PROFS) and Microsoft Exchange Connector for SNADS do not exist in Exchange 2000 Server, and the information related to them in this article does not apply to Exchange 2000.
